EBL Digital Excellence Awards 2025 honour partner organisations
Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) organised the second edition of the SKYSPHERE: EBL Digital Excellence Awards 2025, celebrating partner organisations and merchants whose contributions have significantly advanced the bank's growth and digital transformation journey over the past year.
The award ceremony, held at the United Convention Centre in Dhaka on December 21, recognised excellence across three distinct categories, according to a press release.
Speaking at the event, Ali Reza Iftekhar, managing director of EBL, said, "Our partners and merchants are central to our journey of growth and digital innovation. The SKYSPHERE: EBL Digital Excellence Awards 2025 is our way of recognising their contributions, celebrating their successes, and inspiring continued excellence across the digital landscape."
The Enabler Award, recognising global payment schemes that support and strengthen EBL's digital payment infrastructure, was conferred upon Visa Inc, Mastercard, UnionPay International, and Diners Club International Ltd.
The Excellence Award, honouring merchants for outstanding business performance based on transaction value and volume with EBL, went to Bata Shoe Company (Bangladesh) Limited, bKash Limited, Butterfly Marketing Limited, CSD Bangladesh, Daraz Bangladesh Limited, Domino's Pizza Bangladesh, Evercare Hospital Bangladesh, FirstTrip Limited, Foodi Express Limited, Foodpanda Bangladesh Limited, GoZayaan Limited, Grameenphone Limited, HATIL, Nagad Ltd, NOVOAIR Limited, Othoba (Desh Logistics Limited), Pickaboo, Rangs Industries Limited, ShareTrip Limited, Software Shop Limited, Transcom Electronics, and Unimart Limited.
The Partners in Progress Award, celebrating organisations that have consistently collaborated with EBL to drive growth and digital advancement, was presented to ACI Logistics Limited (Shwapno), ADN Technologies Limited, Bitspearhead Limited, Dhaka Mass Transit Corporation Ltd (DMTCL), Gloria Jean's Coffees, Interspeed Advertising Limited, Le Méridien Dhaka, Malaysia Airlines, Mount Elizabeth Hospitals, NetWorld Technology Ltd, Prothom Alo Digital, SELISE, Singapore Airlines, and Zara Zaman Technology Ltd.
Senior officials of EBL, including M Khorshed Anowar, deputy managing director and head of retail and SME banking, and Ahsan Ullah Chowdhury, head of digital financial services, also attended the programme.
