DBH Finance shariah committee holds 10th meeting

DBH Finance PLC (DBH), one of the country’s largest housing finance institutions and the only non-bank financial institution (NBFI) exclusively focused on housing finance, recently held the 10th meeting of its shariah supervisory committee (SSC).

Muhammad Saifullah, chairman of the DBH shariah supervisory committee, presided over the meeting held at the  institution’s head office in Gulshan, Dhaka, according to a press release.

DBH Finance PLC currently operates its fully dedicated Islamic Financing Wing (IFW) at all 17 of its branches across the country under the brand name “DBH Islamic”, alongside its conventional financing operations.

The company offers shariah-compliant home financing and accepts Mudaraba deposits to cater to the growing demand of its clients.

Md Fariduddin Ahmed and Md Abdul Awwal Sarker, members of the committee, and Nasimul Baten, managing director and CEO of the NBFI, along with other senior officials, were also present at the meeting.
