Citizens Bank holds training on Islamic banking operations
Citizens Bank PLC has organised a training programme on “Islamic Banking Operations” at its Training Academy in Dhaka recently.
Alamgir Hossain, managing director of the bank, inaugurated the programme as the chief guest and delivered an insightful speech on various aspects, scope, and operations of Islamic banking, according to a press release.
He also emphasised the growing importance of Islamic banking from both business and personal perspectives.
Officials from different branches and corporate office divisions of the bank participated in the training programme.
Citizens Bank has already received approval from Bangladesh Bank to introduce Islamic banking services and is expected to commence operations shortly.
Among others, Md Mostafizur Rahman and Md Abdul Latif, deputy managing directors of the bank, and Mohammad Rafiqul Islam Shikder, head of the Islamic Banking Division, were also present on the occasion.
