bKash reduces cash-out charge to Tk 13.95

The country’s leading mobile financial services (MFS) provider, bKash Limited, has reduced its cash-out charge, making the service more affordable for its users.

From now on, customers can cash out up to Tk 50,000 per month at a charge of Tk 13.95 per thousand from two designated Priyo Agent numbers, according to a press release.

As always, this fee includes value-added tax (VAT) and all other charges, ensuring that customers do not incur any additional costs.

The initiative is expected to make daily transactions more affordable for bKash’s 84 million customers across the country.

Customers can designate up to two “Priyo Agents” from among more than 350,000 bKash agents nationwide in a calendar month. They can also change their selected Priyo Agent numbers once the calendar month ends.

To add a Priyo Agent number, customers can tap the “Cash Out” icon on the home screen of the bKash app, select the “Priyo Agent” menu, and follow the on-screen instructions.

Alternatively, they can add a Priyo Agent number by dialling *247#, navigating to the “My bKash” menu, and selecting the “Priyo Number” option. Customers can also check their monthly low-cost cash-out limit at any time through the “Limit” feature in the app.

However, the standard cash-out charge of Tk 18.50 per thousand will apply if customers exceed the monthly limit of Tk 50,000 or withdraw money from agents other than their designated Priyo Agents.
