Berger honours interior design talent at BAID 2025
Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited recently recognised talent in interior design at the“2nd Berger Award for Interior Design 2025 (BAID 2025)”, held at the Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden.
The award received 208 entries across two categories: Professional and Amateur.
A total of seven projects were honoured at the event. In the Professional category, four projects won awards: Makeovers by Anmon by Nazifa Tabassum and Azrin Alom; Kobita Kunjo by Jubair Hasan and Tahmida Afroze; SOL by Utsha Zaman; and Ajo Idea Space, Gulshan by Md Rabiul Islam.
In the Amateur category, Bir Chattala by Sangeeta Chowdhury won the award. Two commendation awards were also presented in the Professional category to Jatra Bangladesh by Sarawat Iqbal and Monon-Bin Yunus, and Seuil_Bleue by Rahat Ibna Hasan, Bin Sayeed Bakhti, and Raqib Ahmed Sharker.
Prof Shamsul Wares, architect; Rupali Chowdhury, managing director of the paints manufacturer; and Md Mohsin Habib Chowdhury, chief operating officer and director, attended the programme.
Speaking at the event, Rupali said, “At Berger, we have always believed that design has the power to transform spaces and elevate the way people live and work. The Berger Award for Interior Design is a platform that honours the creative professionals who bring colour, form and meaning to the spaces around us.”
The evening also brought together prominent architects and designers from the fraternity.
The jury panel comprised Bayejid Mahbub Khondker, artist Dhali Al Mamoon, Tanya Karim and Mohammed Emran Hossain.
Among others, Jalal Ahmed, adviser to BAID 2025; Md Ehsan Khan, jury chairperson; Abu Sayeed M Ahmed, president of the Institute of Architects Bangladesh; and Asifur Rahman Bhuiyan, chief architect of the Department of Architecture, were also present at the event.
