Al-Arafah Islami Bank launches IlmNet education platform
Al-Arafah Islami Bank PLC has signed an agreement with Bhuighar Darussunnah Islamia Kamil Madrasah, making it the first educational institution to join the bank’s IlmNet education management system (EMS).
IlmNet is a shariah-compliant digital platform designed to facilitate academic administration, communication, fee collection and digital payment services for educational institutions, according to a press release.
Mohd Rafat Ullah Khan, managing director and CEO of the bank, and Mohammad Khalid Saifullah, principal of the madrasah, signed the agreement at the bank’s corporate head office in Dhaka yesterday.
Speaking on the occasion, Rafat Ullah said Al-Arafah Islami Bank had introduced IlmNet to bring educational institutions under a technology-driven, efficient and transparent management system.
“Through this Shariah-compliant digital platform, institutions will be able to manage academic and administrative operations, student information, fee collection and various digital payment services through a single integrated system,” he said.
He expressed confidence that IlmNet would accelerate the digital transformation of educational institutions and contribute significantly to the national vision of building a Smart Bangladesh and a Cashless Bangladesh.
With the implementation of IlmNet EMS, Bhuighar Darussunnah Islamia Kamil Madrasah will be able to digitally manage student records, attendance, notices, parent communication, fee collection and other academic and administrative activities.
In addition, secure, convenient and seamless digital transactions will be facilitated through the bank’s Islamic Wallet and Bangla QR payment facilities.
Mohammad Hossain, Md Aminul Islam Bhuiyan and Syed Abul Hashem, deputy managing directors of the bank, along with other senior executives and representatives of the madrasah, were also present at the ceremony.
