Export-import through Benapole suspended

Due to the Deepaboli festival, import and export between Bangladesh and India through Benapole port remain suspended from this morning.

Shahidul Islam, revenue officer (Cargo) of Benapole Customs Check-post said, import and export will remain suspended today due to the Deepaboli festival.

Indian government earlier in a notice informed the matter, he said, adding that import and export will resume tomorrow.

Meanwhile, passengers' movement, loading and unloading of goods and delivery process at Benapole port and customs remain normal, said Mofizur Rahman Sajal, president of Petropole C&F Staff Welfare Association.
