70 firms to get export trophy

The government has selected 70 export-oriented companies to award them for their outstanding performance in merchandise export in the fiscal year 2019-20.

The commerce ministry has published a gazette in this regard.

Among all the exporters, Universal Jeans Ltd, a Chattogram-based exporter, will get the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib export trophy.

The remaining companies will be awarded gold, silver and bronze trophies.

The date for handing over the awards to the winners is not yet announced.
