BRTA starts issuing e-driving licence

The Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) has started issuing e-driving licences.

This will allow drivers to show their licences through mobile phones, if necessary.

The BRTA has taken the initiative as part of the efforts of the government aimed at building "Smart Bangladesh", the agency said in a notice on September 7.

The licence could be verified using a QR code reader.
