BB holds workshop for Nagad officials

Bangladesh Bank organised a workshop recently giving officials of Nagad an overview of financial institutions authorised by the central bank. 

Titled "Guidelines for Trust Fund Management in Payment and Settlement Services", the workshop was held at a hotel in Dhaka and attended by 50 employees of the mobile financial service provider, said a press release.

Hafia Tazrean, joint director of the BB's payment systems department, conducted the workshop.

"The financial industry is evolving at the same pace as the ongoing technological advancement. Bangladesh Bank consistently requests that all financial institutions operate with the utmost openness," she said.

Later Tazrean along with Tanvir A Mishuk, founder and managing director of Nagad, distributed certificates among the participants.

Mohammad Aminul Haque, executive director of Nagad, Sheikh Aminur Rahman, chief business officer, Masud Khan, postal attaché of the postal department, and Al Mahbub, additional postmaster general, were present.
