Proposed budget is realistic and time-fitting: Quader

The proposed budget for the fiscal year 2021-22 is realistic and time-fitting which will ensure participation of all people, said Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader today.

Quader, also road transport and bridges minister, said this while speaking with reporters outside Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban today.

Earlier in the day, Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal proposed a budget of Tk 603,681 crore for the fiscal year 2021-22 in parliament.

"Despite the pandemic, the Bangladesh government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has adopted an intelligent and expanding fiscal policy and has been able to keep the country's economy stable," said the finance minister.
