HC judge infected with coronavirus
A High Court judge has been infected with novel coronavirus.
The judge, who was tested for Covid-19 on May 11, was undergoing treatment at Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka, a source close to the judge told The Daily Star yesterday.
On May 13, the judge was admitted to Mugda General Hospital. He was later shifted to CMH as his condition deteriorated.
Contacted, Attorney General Mahbubey Alam said he heard about the judge getting infected with the virus and undergoing treatment at CMH.
The attorney general said he couldn't know how the judge got infected with Covid-19.
The president on May 30, 2018 had appointed the judge, along with 17 others, as an additional judge of the High Court Division of the Supreme Court for two years.
