3.9 lakh yaba seized in Teknaf

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members seized 3.9 lakh yaba  pills from Damdamia area of Teknaf upazila in Cox's Bazar on Saturday.

Acting on a tip-off, a BGB team took position near Omar Khal area around 7:45pm, according to a press release.

Sensing their presence, four to five smugglers fled, leaving five sacks.

The BGB men searched the bag and found the yaba pills inside, it said.

The street value of the contraband items is Tk 11.7 crore, the release added.
