The upcoming Eid will be a great reprieve for everyone, especially couples in Showbiz, who have trouble getting to spend prolonged amounts of time together, due to their busy schedule. We spoke to some of the most renowned young couples in the industry for their plans.

Yesterday marked an exceptionally beautiful moment for Warfaze, the band that shaped the childhood of an entire generation, as it received the Ekushey Padak, the country’s second-highest civilian honour, for its contribution to music.

Some cartoons now appear more as tools of self-promotion for specific parties rather than critiques of the system. With so much political drama unfolding, one question persists: why is there so little interest among cartoonists in tackling election-related issues through their art?

For them, a ray of light arrives in the name of Alok Nibash, an initiative by BANCAT, Bangladesh’s first holistic cancer care home. Here, cancer patients receive free treatment and accommodation, along with counseling and emotional support for both themselves and their families. It is more than a shelter; it is a space of dignity, compassion, and healing. This brainchild of Najmus Ahmed Albab, a cancer survivor himself, was born out of a desire to help those without the financial means to fight cancer, giving them hope, care, and a chance to rebuild their lives.

Parsa has also been drawing attention for her fresh on-screen pairings. She was recently seen opposite Mosharraf Karim in “Dimlight” and will next be paired with Yash Rohan in “Ekshathe Alada”.

There are so many untold stories from July, yet when we look at our cinema, it gives the impression that the silver screen has barely scratched the surface of what July truly was. Are filmmakers hesitant to tell these stories? And why, in such a short period, have we only seen two July-related films make it to the theatres?

The event began at 4pm at the National Museum, with Jalal Ahmed, chairman of the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission, presiding over the ceremony.
