Frida Kahlo, one of the most famous and recognised Mexican painters in the contemporary art scene, recently got the immersive installation treatment with a dazzling light show at her hometown in México City. Through a modernised depiction of her paintings, the show aims to extend her visual legacy and inimitable sense of style to the younger generations.

The much-anticipated film adaptation of the popular novel “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho, is set to start production in Morocco this September. The announcement was made at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this month. The first namaz-e-janaza of eminent folk singer Fakir Alamgir was held this morning in the Pallima Sangsad premises in Khilgaon, Dhaka. Later, the mortal remains of the singer were taken to the Central Shaheed Minar.
