Kyrgyz film “The Road to Eden” jointly directed by Bakyt Mukul and Dastan Zhapar Uulu won the Best Film Award in the Asian Film Competition segment at the 19th Dhaka International Film Festival, which ended today.

“Bangladesh from the Sky”, an exhibition featuring drone photography-based works of aspiring photographer Jabir F Jaman, is currently on display on EMK Center’s website. The photographs capture the scenic beauty of Bangladesh from the sky, thereby providing a bird’s eye view of the nation’s pristine rivers, lush forests and famous tourist spots. It is available for viewers till January 31.

Freedom fighter and actor Mujibur Rahman Dilu passed away at around 6:40 am today, at the capital’s United Hospital. The news was confirmed by his son, Ayon Rahman. He was suffering from multiple health problems, including lung infection. His condition was critical. Although he tested negative for Covid-19, he had severe pneumonia.
