Bangladesh Musical Bands Association (BAMBA) invited bands from all over the country to apply for membership on January 13, 2021. 85 bands from all over the country applied, in what was an overwhelming response.

Noted actor Omar Sani has been elected president of Bangladesh Film Club Limited (BFCL) for 2021. The polls were held at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) on February 6. He emerged as the winner after getting 278 votes while his rival candidate Atiqur Rahman Liton got 158 votes.

Celebrating 50 years of Bangladesh, Spanish music composer Robert Bartha composed the song, titled “Through The Tiger's Eye”, featuring ten singers from ten different countries, including Bangladesh, Brazil, Spain, Malta, Sweden and Poland among others. Prominent singer Somnur Monir Konal from Bangladesh lent her voice to the song.
