Zahid Gogon’s ‘Prem Puran’ to release tomorrow
“Prem Puran”, a short film directed by young filmmaker Zahid Gogon, is set to release tomorrow on the OTT platform Lagvelki. It is inspired by “The Gift of The Magi” by O' Henry, “Raincoat” by Rituparno Ghosh, “Bhanga Chora” by Zahir Raihan and some true stories of jute mill worker leader Shahid Tajul Islam, who demanded justice for workers in our country. The story is set in Dhaka, Pabna and Kushtia.

Bangladesh Film Censor Board bans Anonno Mamun's film ‘Makeup’
“Makeup”, a film directed by Anonno Mamun with Tariq Anam Khan, Ziaul Roshan and Nipa Ahmed Real in prominent roles, was previewed by the Bangladesh Film Censor Board recently. Subsequently, the board members decided to ban the film.

Noted actor Omar Sani has been elected president of Bangladesh Film Club Limited (BFCL) for 2021. The polls were held at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) on February 6. He emerged as the winner after getting 278 votes while his rival candidate Atiqur Rahman Liton got 158 votes.

Celebrating 50 years of Bangladesh, Spanish music composer Robert Bartha composed the song, titled “Through The Tiger's Eye”, featuring ten singers from ten different countries, including Bangladesh, Brazil, Spain, Malta, Sweden and Poland among others. Prominent singer Somnur Monir Konal from Bangladesh lent her voice to the song.
