Star Melodies' tribute to 25 great composers of Bangla Nagorik songs today

Commemorating 25 years of The Daily Star, Star Melodies will hold a special musical programme, paying tribute to 25 noted composers of Bangla Nagorik songs.

The first segment will feature songs of Tagore, DL Ray, Atulprasad Sen, Rajanikanta Sen, Kazi Nazrul Islam along with stalwarts Raichand Boral, Sailesh Dutta Gupta, Sachin Dev Burman, Himangshu Dutta, and Kamal Dasgupta.

Noted singers Shaheen Samad, Sumon Chowdhury, Fahim Hossain Chowdhury, Laisa Ahmed Lisa and Nasima Shaheen will present songs of the golden era.

The event will be held at 6pm today at the AS Mahmud Hall of The Daily Star Centre.

Sadya Afreen Mallick will compère the programme. The event has been organised with assistance from Simantic Creative Concern and Eastern Bank Limited.

Invitation passes can be collected from The Daily Star Centre. Seats are limited and available on first-come first-serve basis.
