Priyanka Gope's Thumri album launched

An album launching ceremony together with a musical performance by noted artiste Priyanka Gope was held at the National Art Gallery auditorium of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on September 27.

Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique, Vice Chancellor of University of Dhaka; Khairul Anam Shakil, eminent Nazrul Sangeet artiste and general secretary of Chhayanaut, unveiled the album titled “Thumri: Volume 1”, produced by G-Series.

The album features six thumri tracks based on five Ragas -- Bhairavi, Barwa, Kirwani, Kaushik Dhwani and Mishra Bhupali.
