Kiran Chandra Roy's CD to launch today

Bengal Foundation is set to launch an album by eminent folk singer Kiran Chandra Rai, titled “Megh Jamini”. The event will be held today at The Daily Star-Bengal Arts Precinct at 6pm.

The album features ancient devotional songs of the Padabali Kirtan, written by poets Bidyapati, Gobinda Das and Gyan Das. The artiste has recorded a total of 10 songs for the compilation.

The CD will be unveiled by renowned journalist and poet Abul Momen and will be followed by a live performance by Kiran Chandra Roy. The event is open to all.
