Charan Kabi Fest in Dinajpur

A three-day long Charan Kabi Utshab, a congregation of bards, was held on a festive note in Biral upazila of Dinajpur on Friday.

Bangladesh Charan Kabi Sangha organised the festival.

Md Shabuzar Siddiq Sagar newly elected mayor of Biral upazila Municipality, also vice president of Biral upazila AL inaugurated the festival as chief guest at upazila Muktijoddha Sangshad Chattar on Friday afternoon. MA Kuddus Sarkar president of Charan Kabi Sangha  presided over the inaugural session.

Around 50 bards from across the country including Dhaka, Rajshahi and other districts arrived at the festival venue in Biral upazila to perform Baul and folk songs that ended on Sunday.

Lawmaker Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury joined the celebration as chief guest on the concluding day.
