34 Covid-19 patients being treated at ICUs in Dhaka

At least 34 Covid-19 patients are currently being housed in intensive care units (ICUs) of different hospitals in Dhaka.

Of them, 10 are being treated at the ICU in Mugda Medical College and Hospital and nine in Kuwait Bangladesh Friendship Government Hospital, said Ayesha Akhter, an assistant director of the Directorate General of Health Service (DGHS).

Besides, there are four Covid-19 patients each at the ICUs of Kurmitola General Hospital and Regent Hospital in Uttara, three patients are being treated in Regent Hospital in Mirpur, and two each in Sajida Foundation and Rajarbagh Police Hospital.

Ayesha said they are yet to get the number of patients being treated at ICUs in hospitals outside Dhaka.

At least 152 covid-19 patients died out of total 5,913 confirmed cases across the country, while 131 patients have recovered according to the latest information provided by DGHS.
