$ 696,000 Dutch help for Brac
Under an agreement signed with Brac, The Netherlands Development Cooperation Programme will provide US$ 696,000 to the Institute for Educational Development (IED) of BRAC University for an initial period of two years, says a press release.
The fund will enable the Brac institute to carry out its core activities in the field of primary and secondary education with a focus on improving learning outcomes, teacher development and education research.
The programme will be co-financed by The Royal Norwegian Embassy and Swiss Development Cooperation.
The agreement was signed by Jaap van der Zeeuw, Charge d' Affairs of the Royal Netherlands Embassy and Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury, Executive Director of Brac, on July 10.
