Woman dies due to wrong treatment

Sources said Naznin Begum, 40, wife of one Rafiqul Islam of Tikapara, was admitted to Mohanagar Clinic with problem in the uterus on July 10.

Without consulting any specialist and proper medical test Dr Sahela Jasemine Shilpy, a physician of the clinic, operated her on Tuesday evening.

Naznin was transferred to the bed at about 8.00pm but at around 11.00pm her condition began to deteriorate.

When the attendants of the patient called the doctors and the owner of the clinic over telephone no one responded to their calls.

Then the attendants went to the house of the concerned doctor who misbehaved with them.

At around 2.30am, Naznin died after prolonged suffering and bleeding.

Hearing the news of death of Naznin, hundreds of local people thronged in front of the clinic and chanted slogans demanding arrest and punishment of the owner of the clinic and the doctor.

Patient's attendants filed a case against the doctor and clinic owner in this connection.
