Rathjatra festival begins in Dhamrai today

Information Minister M Shamsul Islam will inaugurate the 'Rathjatra festival of Shree Shree Joshomadhab' at 5:00pm.

Indian High Commissioner Veena Sikri, local lawmaker Barrister Ziaur Rahman Khan, Maj. Gen. (retd.) CR Dutta and Prof Dr Nim Chandra Bhoumik will attend the inaugural function.

A month-long fair will also begin at Rathkhola Prangon as part of the celebrations.

The annual festival attracts thousands of devotees from across the country.
