Schoolteacher murdered in Naogaon

The dead was identified as Dhiresh Chandra Das, 60, a retired teacher of Shailagachhi Government Primary School.

Sources said local people the body of Dhiresh Chandra floating in the Tulugari pond at Shailagachhi village yesterday morning and informed the police.

On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body with legs and hands tied.

Dhiresh had been missing since May 6, police said.

Police suspect that he might have been killed as a sequel to a family or land dispute.
