Japan's electronics giant Casio Computer employee displays a prototype of the Proton Exchange Membrance (PEM) fuel cell battery unit for notebook computer, four times longer in life span, about 20 hours consecutive use of a charge of methanol, liquid part of both sides of the unit in Tokyo on May 2. Casio computer developed a micro-reactor unit to produce high concentrated hydrogen to generate elecric power reacting with oxygen. Casio is expecting to put it on the market within the year.
