Govt does not want dialogue: Obaidul Quader

UNB, Dhaka
Acting General Secretary of Awami League Obaidul Quader yesterday said the government does not want dialogue on their reform proposals.

"The government on one hand is exchanging letters on the reform proposals and on the other the PM is saying that the present Election Commission is neutral and there is no need for its reform," he told a party meeting at Bangabandhu Avenue central office.

The party leaders held the meeting to adopt strategies to make the April 19 sit-in programme in front of the PM office a success.

Leaders of AL and its front organisations took part in the meeting with Obaidul Quader in the chair.
