13 Bangladeshi fishermen rescued in India
Thirteen Bangladeshi fishermen whose boat got adrift while fishing in high seas were rescued and admitted to a government hospital in Chennai, India, yesterday.
Quoting police sources, the UNI said the fishermen, who had lost their way in the sea, were found near Ongole in an unconscious state.
Officials rescued and brought them to Chennai where they were admitted to the Government Stanley Medical College Hospital. The fishermen regained consciousness and were provided with food.
Investigations were on to ascertain as to how the boat went adrift in the sea, they said.
