JCD cadres beat BCF activists at JU

The incident occurred when the JCD cadres numbering 15 to16 led by Habib, Avi, Rasel and Shihab tried to occupy the room no-216 of the hall at 10:00pm.

They beat Golam Murshed, a Bangladesh Chhatra Federation (BCF) activist, and two others refused to leave the room.

Progotisheel Chhatra Jote brought out a procession on the campus protesting the JCD attack and demanded immediate punishment of the culprits.

Our Staff Correspondent adds, BCF protested the attack on Golam Morshed.

BCF in a statement condemned the attack on Golam Morshed and said such an attack has revealed the fascist character of JCD.

They said the JCD cadres attacked Golam Morshed as he organised the movement against increased admission fee at JU.

Progotishil Chhatra Jote will organise a protest rally demanding trial of the culprits on the Dhaka University campus today at 5:00pm.
