Arrest of writer demanded
Khulna chapter of Bangladesh Human Rights Implementation Committee (BHRIC) yesterday demanded immediate confiscation of a booklet titled 'Meye Manusher Lajja Kom' and arrest of its writer Siraj Vikrampuri.
Siraj Vikrampuri is also publisher of the booklet.
Advocate Abdul Malek, Khulna chapter BHRIC general secretary, made demand at a press conference at the Khulna Press Club.
Malek in his written statement said the booklet now in circulation contains filthy remarks about the women.
Malek sought cooperation of the members of the civil society and women organisations in this regard.
