Price hike of drugs protested
Leaders of the Post Graduate Doctors' Association (PGDA) yesterday protested the price hike of similar medicines of different brands by 20 pharmaceuticals in the name of keeping their price level equal.
PGDA President Kazi Shahidul Alam and Secretary General Dr Rakibul Islam Litu, in a statement urged the authorities concerned to reduce the prices of those medicines, otherwise low quality drugs from the neighbouring country would capture the local market heightening the sufferings of the people.
