Nido-Shaptahik 2000 prize giving ceremony held

Winners of the Nido-Shaptahik 2000 Golpo Lekho Golpo Jeto Competition 2005 pose with the guests at the prize giving ceremony at Shaheed Zia Auditorium at the National Museum in the city on Friday

Labib Muntasir and Nuzhat Tahlil won the first position from group 'Ka' and 'Kha' respectively.

The top ten winners from both the groups received books, crest, DVD player, binocular, camera, digital dictionary and diskman along with the certificates. One hundred more participants were given books and certificates as special prizes.

With this ceremony, the competition stepped into its fifth year. Around 6,000 stories were submitted this year.

Carlo Cifielo, managing director, Nestle Bangladesh Limited, Golam Mortoza, executive editor of Shaptahik 2000, and Nuzhat Yusuf, brand manager of Nido, spoke at the ceremony.

Judges of the competition-- Subrata Borua, Moinul Ahsan Saber and Imdadul Haque Milon -- also spoke.
