48-hr transport strike in S-W region from tomorrow
The Road Transport Workers' Federation will enforce a 48-hour transport strike in the south and western region tomorrow to press home its four-point demand.
The federation announced the strike at a meeting at its Jessore office on Saturday. Hasibul Hasan Lovlu, president of the South - Western Regional Committee chaired the meeting.
The demands include dearness allowance, an end to harassment of transport workers by the law enforcement agencies.
