NGOs urged to work together to cut poverty
They also suggested that the development agencies should evolve a better means to identify the real problems through sharing their ideas and experiences.
The Identity and Resource Mobilisation Department of Action Aid Bangladesh (AAB) organised the meeting to exchange views at its project office in the city, where representatives of different non-government organisations (NGOs) were present.
The speakers also sought the help of mediapersons, saying that the media can play an important role by disseminating information about the forum's activities.
Shahamin S Zaman, head of the Identity and Resource Mobilisation, AAB, said that although many NGOs are working in the country for the betterment of the poor, they cannot meet their demands properly.
If the forum is established, the NGOs can share their ideas and work together for the advancement of the country, she added.
