Hold talks on Aug 17 serial blasts: Ershad

"BNP and AL are blaming each other for the bomb blasts. But have they thought that the culprits are taking advantage of such kind of political blame culture?" Ershad asked while talking to a delegation of Satkhira district JP at Banani party office.

Subversive activities like bomb attacks were introduced during the last AL regime and under the BNP-Jamaat government the overall situation has taken a worst turn, he said.

"It is a matter of regret that BNP and AL, being the two biggest parties of the country, are yet to sit together to find out a solution of the ongoing national crisis," he said.

JP presidium member Abu Sufian, Ershad's political adviser Kazi Firoz Rashid, Vice-chairman HM M Golam Reza were present at the meeting.

Earlier, Ershad appointed former Member of Parliament Advocate SM Salauddin and Abdul Jabbar of Satkhira as vice-chairmen while Advocate Abdur Rauf of Satkhira and Shahana Akhter of Rangpur as central committee members.
