SUST classes resume Aug 14

The SUST was closed sine die after Rafiqul Islam Patwary, vice-president of Jatiyatabadi Chatra Dal (JCD), was killed by the rival factions of the same party. The dormitories were also vacated immediately to avoid further clashes.

The SUST syndicate expelled 13 JCD men for different terms in compliance with the suggestions of the probe committee. The Academic Council at a meeting, held on Wednesday afternoon, decided to start the classes of the first year from August 23.
