Bodies of two abducted truckers recoverd
Police have recovered the bodies of a truck driver and his assistant at Keraniganj three days after their abduction with the truck from Uttara.
Keraniganj police recovered the bodies on Wednesday at village Chunkutia in Keraniganj and sent them to the Mitford Hospital morgue.
Abdul Zabbar, owner of the truck, identified the bodies of driver Sohagh Mian and helper Ayub Ali yesterday.
Police and hospital sources said the criminals strangled them first and then stabbed.
The truck owner filed an abduction case with Uttara police Station on Wednesday where he mentioned that a gang of seven to eight criminals waylaid the truck near House Building area in Uttara at about 11:00pm on Monday. The criminals took away the truck and kidnapped the driver and the helper.
Police could not arrest anyone until 7:00pm yesterday in this connection.
