3 kids killed in city accidents
A yellow taxicab hit Mohammad Rakib, 8, son of rickshawpuller Rokon Ali, when he was crossing the embankment at Nababerbagh at Mirpur in the city on Friday noon.
He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where he succumbed to injuries yesterday morning.
Meanwhile, the two other children, aged around 10 and 13, were cut into pieces by Jayantika Express and Titas Commuter trains at about 4:00pm and 6:00pm within a hundred yards of the Airport Rail Station in Dhaka.
Both the boys, whose identities could not be known immediately, died on the spot. The bodies were sent to the DMCH morgue yesterday, but none came there to identify them.
