National Fishery Fortnight begins on August 7
The National Fishery Fortnight 2005 starts across the country from August 7 with a target to alleviate poverty, create self-employment and thus to contribute economic growth by using modern technology.
Prime Minister Khaleda Zia is expected to inaugurate the programme at Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre on the day.
A weeklong fish fair will be held on the Shilpakala Academy premises from August 9.
