Dam-ABC agreement on construction of cancer hospital

Dam Executive Director Kazi Rafiqul Alam and ABC Director Engineer Nazrul Islam signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.

With the appointment of ABC our long felt dream of a full-fledged international standard cancer hospital in Bangladesh is becoming a reality, Kazi Rafiq said. This is the only project with an investment of Tk 150 crore in Bangladesh which is being established entirely with the voluntary contribution raised within the country, he said.

He appealed to the people and corporate sector to donate generously for the completion of the project. He expressed hope that the hospital will be made functional within three years. Adequate provision will be kept for treatment of the poor patients in the hospital, he added.

USA Based Architectural firm Design Alliance Managing Director Architect Tarek Alam, Dam Secretary General Md Ziauddin, AMCH Project Director AKM Delwar Hossain, ABC directors Engineer Subhash Chandra Ghosh and Engr Nashid Islam, Engineer Adviser Engineer Choudhury Ziaur Rasul and Dam Executive Engineer Kazi Mohammad Momen were present.
