10 robbers held in Narayanganj
Rapid Action Battalion (Rab-3) members arrested 10 robbers at Adamjee Jute Mills area in Siddirganj thana on Saturday night while they were preparing to commit a robbery.
Acting on a tip off, the Rab members caught them from Char Shimulpara on the bank of river Shitalakhya and recovered four firearms along with two bullets from their possession.
The arrestees are Zakaria, Halim, Shahidul Islam Suman, Kazi Hasan Ali Murad, Abdul Kadir, Kamruzzaman, Asaduzzaman, Khalilur Rahman, Bachchu and Abdul Huq.
Rab-3 said they were the accomplices of thana Jubo Dal leader and listed fugitive criminal Selim.
Of them, Zakaria, Halim and Shahidul were arrested earlier by Rab-3 and released from the jail a month back.
The arrested were later handed over to Siddirganj police.
