Robbers beat nightguard to death

The dead was identified as Ali Ahmad, 50.

Police and witnesses said, some 25 robbers attacked a market of Fakirhat Bazar at around 1:00am.

The robbers tied Ali and beat mercilessly killing on the spot as he tried to alert the market people raising a cry.

The robbers scared other three night guards away before looting goods worth around Tk 50,000 from three shops of the market.

They also assaulted and injured Ahmad Safa, a shopkeeper, for attempt to resist them.
