Apollo Hospitals launches vaccination programme

Apollo Hospitals Dhaka launched a vaccination programme for the children and the pregnant women recently in addition to its regular health programmes, says a press release.

Jesmine Sultana, wife of Khondoker Moniruddin, managing director of Apollo Hospitals Dhaka, inaugurated the programme by administering a polio vaccine to a child.

Under the Expanded Programme for Immunisation (EPI) of the government, it is a joint collaboration between Health Directorate and Apollo Hospitals Dhaka.

Khondoker Moniruddin, Rozalind Conway, director of Nursing Services, Dr Praful B Pawar, director of Medical Services, doctors of the hospital and high officials of the health ministry were present.

As part of the programme, vaccines for Tuberculosis, Diphtheria, Hopping Cough, Polio, Hepatitis-B, Tetanus and Measles are available.
