Expats urged to invest more in country

BSS, London
Senior Joint Secretary General of BNP Tarique Rahman urged the expatriate Bangladeshis to come forward to contribute to the development of the country's economy.

He urged the expatriates to invest more in Sylhet as well as other regions of the country.

"An Export Processing Zone (EPZ) could be established in Sylhet if the expatriate Bangladeshis cooperate the government, he said while addressing as the chief guest at a workers rally organised by BNP UK unit on Malbari School premises.

Tarique said the BNP led four-party alliance government is working relentlessly for providing food, education, health and security for the 14 crore people of Bangladesh. The law and order has improved, farmers are getting fair prices of their produces, female students up to higher secondary level are getting free education.

"For building a beautiful and prosperous country, all patriots irrespective of their political affiliations should come forward for the development of the county," he added.
