Prisoner dies in Nilphamari jail

The dead was identified as Abul Hossain, 50.

First Class District Magistrate Habibur Rahman primarily examined the body. Later the body was sent to the morgue for autopsy.

Acting jailor of District Jail Ismail Hossain told BDNEWS Abul Hossain felt pain in his chest early Sunday. He was rushed to the Sadar Hospital where the doctor declared him dead.

The deceased was the son of Tokra Mamud of Paschim Belpukur village under Sayedpur upazila.

Abul Hossain was arrested on May 7 in a case under Women and Children Repression Prevention Act.
