She expressed the hope that Bangladeshi visitors to Malaysia would avail this very extensive health checkup programme. This is a part of Pantai's excellent medical services and facilities to the Bangladeshi visitors. Rafeah Ariffin also announced the opening up of all kinds of modern diagnosis and treatment that are available in seven Pantai hospitals, three of which are located in Kuala Lumpur.
She said that Bangladeshi visitors would feel at home in Kuala Lumpur having similar religio-cultural background and yet get the best of medicare facilities.
Ariffin said that there is a huge requirement for developing proper clinical waste disposal system in Bangladesh.
Telemedicine -- a very modern concept in the medical field is almost non-existent in Bangladesh, she said. This facility should be immediately developed in Bangladesh, she added.
