BDR chief to visit Tin Bigha Thursday
Director General (DG) of Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) Major General Jahangir Alam Chowdhury will visit Tin Bigha Corridor, Dahogram and Angurpota enclaves under Patgram upazila of the district on May 12, official sources said.
He will meet the local people of Dahogram-Angurpota enclaves and inquire about their problems with view to taking necessary steps to develop the socio-economic condition of people.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Coochbehar Sector of Border Security Force (BSF) of India Brigadier General (Retd) AK Bhanot and Commandant of 122 BSF Battalion along with other BSF officials are expected to meet General Jahangir on the other side of the border during the visit to exchange good wishes between the two border guards.
General Jahangir will be given a guard of honour by a BSF contingent on the occasion, the sources said.
