Recruiting agency ready to bring back victims free of cost

This was stated by Managing Partner of the company M Wahidul Islam at a press conference at the Crime Reporters' Association for Bangladesh (CRAB) in the city.

Partly admitting the allegations made against his agency, Wahidul said that some 50 of the expatriates "are willing to return" home while 60 other workers are willing to stay back.

He said his company had given an undertaking to relevant government authorities assuring to bring back "within two months" those willing to return to Bangladesh. He said if anybody wants, his agency will also arrange alternative job facilities for him in Jordan.

Now we are waiting for the final list of the workers of the Al-Shahed Garments prepared by Bangladesh Ambassador's office in Jordan, he said. After this he will start the process of their repatriation or re-employment, he added.

Replying to a question, Wahidul said the expatriates might have been deported due to anti-social or criminal activities at their places of work or at dormitory.
