'Management studies must be practice-oriented'
Speakers at a seminar in the city said management studies in the country must be practice-oriented and market-driven for better employment opportunities and professionalism in the related field.
Bangladesh Society for Human Resource Management (BSHRM) organised the seminar on 'Career Path and Emerging Trends in Human Resource Management' at IDB Bhaban recently.
About 250 students from different universities attended it, a press release said.
Underscoring the need for curriculum review in the universities, BSHRM President Mehboobur Rehman said management graduates must be readily employable as soon as they graduate, which requires a combination of theory and practice.
BSHRM will organise more seminars of such kind in future, he noted.
